Paul is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine.  While there, he graduated in the top 5% and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a dental honor society that is by invitation only from clinical faculty.  Also, while at MUSC, he was the recipient of the Joseph Cleveland award that recognized the student with the highest GPA in his class.  After graduation in 2007, Paul opted to pursue further education at the University of Florida and was accepted into their year-long post graduate Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program.  This competitive program graduates 10 residents every year and is highly regarded for producing some of the best clinicians in the field.  While there, he furthered his understanding and treated patients who had COSMETIC, IMPLANT and reconstruction needs. In addition, he gained valuable education in the diagnosis and proper treatment of TMJ disorders.  He has collaborated with specialists locally and nationally to help his patients receive the best treatment outcomes possible.   He also was part of a research team at MUSC and contributed to publication below.

Paul is married to his wife, Stephanie, and they have three beautiful children.  The family would not be complete without their yellow lab, Rosie!  When not practicing he and his family can be found at Folly surfing or up in the mountains of Oconee County tromping through the woods.  Paul is an avid fly fisherman and outdoor photographer who has publications and photo-essays in several well known international fishing magazines (see PHOTOGRAPHY section).

Angela is a Charleston native and is part of a large family, many of which are in the dental field!  She is the social center of our practice and may be one of the easiest people you will ever talk with!  Many of our patients are also friends and they know and trust Angela to make great decisions on their behalf.  She has worked at this practice for 33 years and knows the ins and outs of procedures and insurance companies to better help you.  Angela, her husband and children all live in the Charleston area.  When not at work she's with family.  She is always up for a game of bunko and is always cheering on her Gamecocks!

Crissey is also a Charleston native.  She has been part of this practice for nearly 20 years.  Our patients always remark on how excellent of an experience they have with her during their cleaning visits!  She is gentle clinically but watch out for her dry and witty sense of humor once you get to know her!  Crissey and her husband reside in Charleston along with their two boys and when she's not helping our patients maintain their oral health care she loves to spend time with family and visit the mountains.

Christina is a certified dental assistant and is Dr. Doughty's right hand ; he couldn't do what he does without her assistance.  In his words, she is one of the most organized and efficient people he has ever worked with.  Rest assured, she knows everything about your health and upcoming appointment - she works as a team with Dr. Doughty to deliver outstanding and compassionate care.  Christina and her husband reside in Summerville and, when not working, is cheering on her Clemson Tigers or riding with the top down on her Mustang!

Tammy is a true friend to many of our patients and the trait that exemplifies her the most is her compassion.  She develops such great relationships with the people who she cares for.  Tammy has been with the practice for nearly 30 years and many of the patients have seen her during that entire time.  It's not uncommon for an adult patient to walk in only to learn she knew them when they were an infant!  Tammy and her husband reside in Charleston.  When she is not in the office she is with family or relaxing at the beach!
